Gattaca: get thee behind me

It's about friggen time. Senate Passes Genetic Antidiscrimination Bill - Law would bar insurers and employers from discriminating based on genetic testing

Years ago, I made the conscious decision NOT to get tested for the BRCA1/2 mutation, despite the fact that a strong family history of breast cancer would have made sense for me to do it. I ultimately decided not to do it because of fears that a positive test would mean both a) an 80% of getting breast cancer and then b) not getting medical insurance for the treatment, because it was a pre-existing condition based on the test results.
